HealthNow’s 2007 Financial Results Strengthen Competitive Position
HealthNow filed its 2007 financial results with the New York State Department of Insurance (NYSID). For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2007, the company increased NYSID-mandated statutory reserves by approximately $34 million to $496 million. Total revenues increased from $2.11 billion in 2006 to $2.14 billion, while net underwriting gain decreased from $71.9 million to $48.4 million in 2006. Overall membership, inclusive of insured members and self-insured business, exceeded 815,000 members.
